Question by Mongo: Is there a FREE site where I can get a criminal background check on someone dating my mom?
I’m 28 years old and my mom recently started seeing a man who I just don’t trust. I don’t know what it is and I can’t quite put my finger on it but there’s something about him I just don’t like. If you know of a site where I can obtain a criminal background check free of charge let me know. I really don’t want to spend $ 50 but I will if it’s my last resort.

sorry man…i tried my best to find a free one but the best one is so far is white pages..www.whitepages.com …if it doesnt have it then you’ll just have to waste 50 bucks but who knows if it turns out to be good or not…

if you have his social security number u can take it to the sheriffs department and they will do it. other wise if it’s free it’s b.s. and if u do it without a s.s. # it’s b.s.

Literally ALL background check sites require some sort of subscription fee. Your best bet is to google the dudes name, or run him against online sex offender databases maintained by your local authorities. Even if a site sasy it is free, it isn’t. It’s just putting off telling you how much it costs.
i know that this won’t be much help but try googiling it. i know for a fact that there is a website you can go on to find someones criminal records as long as you have there last name. ill try to google it right now and see what i can come up with!!

If you think that there is something not right with this guy but you can’t put your finger on it…then there probably is.
I don’t know of anywhere that you can do this for free.
But try being your own detective. Just don’t get caught or your mom will think you are being a busy body and won’t stop seeing this guy.
I hate it when you know that someone just ain’t quite right and is gonna be trouble.

No. Not for free. Regardless of what they say in their banner ads, you’ll up getting charged for something. Do just a little research into the various (tens of thousands) of the companies that do this service on the web. But watch out for “free trials” … you could end up getting charged every month for the next year.
Also go online to your states’ Dept of Public Safety or State Police/Highway Patrol. Most of them offer criminal background checks for a small fee, but check the details for what is needed on the paperwork. Your local city or county cops MIGHT do a warrant check, but they won’t provide a background.
Be aware, you’ll need some confidential info such as his SSN, etc.
I know you’re suspicious, and I wish you luck. But what you’re feeling could also be normal. It’s your mom. But follow your gut, not your instinct.
One tip: Take him out for a beer and a burger.

Yeah I don’t think you’d be able to do it for free either. But you wouldn’t be “wasting” your money like the other guy said. This is your mom we’re talking about after all. How much money did she waste on you growing up?
Anyway yeah if you don’t trust this guy, listen to yourself and check him out. Even if he doesn’t have a criminal background I’d say still keep an eye on him.
